A fast-paced 1995 screwball comedy by Ken Ludwig. Set in 1953, it follows aging, bickering Broadway stars George and Charlotte Hay as they tour Buffalo, NY, performing Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives. Chaos erupts when they learn film director Frank Capra is coming to scout them for a movie.

About the event
George Hay: An aging, overly dramatic actor-manager with a massive ego. He loves the theater but is prone to drinking, panic, and poor decisions, including an affair with a young actress.
Charlotte Hay: George’s co-star and formidable wife. She shares his passion for theater but is practical, deeply cynical of his behavior, and dreams of escaping the touring life for true Hollywood stardom.
The Family
Rosalind "Roz" Hay: George and Charlotte’s independent daughter. She left the theater to pursue a "normal" life and is back to introduce her new fiancé, though her old love for acting and her ex-boyfriend complicate her return.
Ethel: Charlotte’s grumpy, fiercely independent, and severely hard-of-hearing mother. She detests George, works in the wardrobe department, and accidentally escalates the comedy through misunderstandings caused by her deafness.
