Peter and the Star Catcher is a swashbuckling, Tony Award-winning play written by Rick Elice, adapted from the 2004 novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. It serves as a hilarious, wildly theatrical origin story of Peter Pan, showing how a nameless orphan became "The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up".

About the event

The story follows two ships—the Neverland and the Wasp—setting sail for the distant Kingdom of Zaroff. Aboard the Neverland, a group of nameless, miserable orphans (led by an unnamed "Boy") are being transported as prisoners. Simultaneously, a secret trunk of "starstuff"—a magical, glowing substance capable of granting any wish—is being transported on the Wasp. When the ships are intercepted by the villainous pirate Black Stache, the trunks get switched and a chaotic, magical adventure ensues on a deserted island. By the end of the journey, the Boy is given the name Peter, and with the help of a brave girl named Molly, he learns to fly, becomes ageless, and builds his family of Lost Boys.
